Review

The Nashbar Bull-Horn Single Speed Bike is a single speed commuter bicycle. As a city commuter bicycle, the bike definitely succeeds. The ride quality offered by this bike is extremely smooth and it is ideal for coasting along the paved city streets. The bike is equipped with a steel frameset which gives it a retro feel. The fork is also made of steel and it does a fine job in absorbing the bumps off the road. The Tektro brakes do a good job and allow precision braking.
The front crankset of this bike is comparatively smaller and as a result, the acceleration of this bike is superb although maintaining the speed is bit of a problem with this configuration. The bike has a slick and stylish look with a sporty feel about it.
Although the bike offers a nice and smooth riding experience, the saddle is not as comfortable as you would have liked it to be and you might want to get a better one especially if you are planning for long rides. The tubes of the tires are also very ordinary and are a bit on the thinner side and it is best to have them replaced with a thicker set of tubes in case you want to enjoy a hassle free riding experience.
The bike fairs out quite well as a city commuter and offers a pleasant and hassle free ride experience. It comes with a more than reasonable price tag and if you are looking for a bike for commuting to your workplace, campus rides or just for cruising along the city streets, definitely consider the Nashbar Bull-Horn Single Speed Road Bike as one of your options.
